Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026
This policy explains how Delega, LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Delega’s website, mobile apps, and services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, service address, account details, task descriptions, messages, receipts, support requests, safety reports, and preferences.
For personal assistants, we also collect application and résumé information, work eligibility and insurance details, identity and background-check status, payout information, and records of agreements and authorizations.
We may collect device, browser, approximate location, notification token, and activity information needed to operate, secure, and improve Delega. Precise location is used only when needed for an active task or when you choose to provide it.
How we use information
We use information to create and protect accounts; match and coordinate tasks; process payments and payouts; provide status updates and support; conduct permitted screening and compliance reviews; investigate safety concerns; prevent fraud; and meet legal obligations.
We also use information to communicate about your account, requested services, applications, membership, safety, and important policy updates. Marketing messages include a way to unsubscribe where required.
When we share information
We share only what is needed with the customer or personal assistant involved in a task and with service providers that help us operate Delega, including payment, identity and background screening, communications, hosting, analytics, insurance, and professional-advice providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the platform, to investigate fraud or safety issues, or as part of a business transaction. We do not sell personal information for money.
Payments and background checks
Payment card and payout details are handled by our payment providers; Delega does not store complete card numbers. Background checks are conducted by an authorized consumer-reporting provider only after the required disclosure and authorization. Screening information is handled under applicable law and the provider’s privacy practices.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business and compliance records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and California rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible personal information and may ask questions about how it is used. You may also withdraw optional communications permissions through your device or email settings.
California residents may have additional rights, including the right to know, correct, or delete certain information and to limit certain uses. Delega will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
Delega is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as Delega or applicable law changes. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice when required.
